Men’s rowing was never a varsity sport at Virginia.... At Virginia, the men’s team doesn’t spend one minute hoping that we’ll be granted varsity status. Our job is to create the best program we can.

Considering the men finished as the top non-Varsity program at the Head of the Charles in the Men's Collegiate Eights division, fourth overall, I'd say he's doing a pretty good job. The team though, was still disappointed, wanting to finish in the top three.
