Other Offers: Mississippi, UCF, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Temple, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, Wisconsin

Notes: "physical safety that in all likelihood may end up as an outside linebacker for the next level" ... "athletically gifted, but technically raw and unpolished" ... "covers a lot of ground quickly" ... "powerful tackler" who makes "big hits" but sometimes ends up "lunging and missing in space"

Quotables:

"Coach (Vincent) Brown was talking to me and I asked him what I would be playing. He said I can try whatever I want. I'm not sure what offensive position I could play in that type of offense but I know he wants me to play linebacker. I think linebacker is where I'd be the best fit."

"Virginia has proven everyone wrong and last night [against Florida State] was no different. ... I can't wait to begin my career there"

Possibly the most underrated recruit in this class

It is difficult to say why he is underrated, and why he wasn’t more highly recruited. This is a tall, rangy kid who should excel in a 2 deep zone. He has enough size to come up and be a factor in run support, plus he has the speed and height to play the deep ball.
It is possible that Brim bulks up and becomes a LB (see: Reynolds, LaRoy), but I actually think Brim is better suited as a safety. Especially with safety being a need position for the Hoos, Brim may get on the field this year. He could also be a factor in special teams this year. I expect Brim to be one the leader of our defense in a couple of years.
