It's already time for a rematch of Sunday's showdown between UVA and Ole Miss. You may recall, the Hoos won that one in thrilling fashion when Mike Papi crushed a 9th inning single for a walk-off victory. (Feel free to relive it...)
Tonight, it's Josh Sborz on the mound for the Hoos. He threw an absolute gem in UVA's game 3 win against Maryland, throwing 7 shutout innings, giving up 4 hits while striking out 9. Jeremy Massie (4-3, 2.73 ERA) will start for Ole Miss - the Hoos saw him during the 7th inning on Sunday (he was on the mound when Bousfield made his spectacular over-the-shoulder catch in centerfield).
If Virginia wins, it advances to the Championship, which will be played Monday, Tuesday, and, if necessary, Wednesday. An Ole Miss victory would trigger a do-or-die game Saturday night at 8 PM.
UVA will be the road team tonight, but would be home in the event of a potential game tomorrow.
