A defensive battle to open up ACC play between both Virginia and Florida State. The Hoos are ranked eighth in the country with an adjusted defensive efficiency of 91.7, while the Seminoles are sixth at 90.8. KenPom predicts both teams in the NCAA Tournament, ranking the 'Noles 28th and the Hoos 42nd.
Here's what I'm looking forward to for this game:
1. Justin Anderson has been the leading scorer in each of the past three games. I'm looking for this to change, because...
2. I'm hoping that Joe Harris turns it on now that we've reached conference play.
3. Hustle all around. There seems to be a lack of urgency in this team that results in some lackadaisical play at times. I'm looking for this to change in conference play. The Hoos didn't help themselves during out-of-conference play, which means there's little room for error in ACC play.
Today's not a must-win game, but it sure would be a nice one to steal on the road. Virginia's won each of their last six ACC openers, but have not found a way to win at Florida State in ten tries. Which streak gets broken tonight?
Leave your pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts here and as always, Go HOOS!
