Do 2 of the 4 most valuable players in the nation play for Virginia?

Justin Anderson and Anthony Gill are third and fourth, respectively, in Ken Pomeroy's "kPOY" standings. Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky is the current leader with Jahil Okafor of Duke in second. Four of the top five players are from the ACC.

A full explanation of KenPom's kPOY score is here. Pomeroy says his goal is to "to identify the most valuable player in the game, free of reputation, future potential, or amount of times the player appears on Big Monday."

The rankings emphasize a a balance of high usage and high efficiency (ORtg), and also take into account defensive performance and overall team's performance. Louisville's Russ Smith won the award the past 2 seasons, and Draymond Green came out on top in 2012 (when Mike Scott finished 10th). There will be plenty of movement throughout the season, but it is clear that UVA has an embarrassment of riches, with two players who aren't preseason First Team All-ACC pick Malcolm Brogdon.
