Name: Dillon Reinkensmeyer
High School: Valor Christian (Highlands Ranch, CO)
Height/Weight: 6-5, 255 pounds
Ranking: Rivals 2*, 247 2*, ESPN 3*
The Skinny:
Reinkensmeyer is an undersized but athletic and highly intelligent offensive lineman. The Colorado product didn't have many other major Power Five offers, but did have offers in pocket from other academic powers, including Bucknell, Air Force, and the Naval Academy.
ESPN describes him as a "scrapper," which seems like just the kind of guy Coach Mendenhall wants as he reemphasizes physicality and effort. Don't expect to see Reinkenmeyer on the field in 2016: at only 255 pounds he'll need a redshirt year to get up to the size necessary to control ACC opponents.
Despite his low star ratings, Reinkenmeyer was one of the guys that insiders pointed to as a "Don't worry" when Stephen Spanellis flipped to Michigan and Erik Swenson committed to Oklahoma instead of U.Va. He isn't a guy who will change the program immediately but could be a solid starter by his second or third year.
