Rector is coming back from an ACL injury that cut his junior season short. He’s drawn favorable comparison to former BYU quarterback Taysom Hill from none other than former BYU quarterbacks coach Jason Beck. This performance—competing against some of the best talent in the mid-South—should be a welcome sign for UVA fans that Rector’s recovery is coming along just fine.
