The ACC has just released the 2010-11 conference basketball schedules. This year,  all-time highs in national television appearances and games televised, as well as a record-tying number of overall TV appearances, highlight the 2010-11 Atlantic Coast Conference basketball schedule. The league's 12 member schools are scheduled to make an ACC-record 182 national television appearances, breaking the record of 179 set a year ago. In addition, ACC teams will appear in 198 games, topping the 193-game mark first set in 2008-09 and matched last year. League schools will also make 300 overall TV appearances, tying the league mark, originally set in 2008-09. Virginia's schedule, with at least 7 ESPN appearances, is after the jump.

Virginia is one of eight teams that will be traveling to Maui during Thanksgiving Week this year to compete in the 27th EA Sports Maui Invitational, hosted by Chaminade University of Honolulu. The Maui Invitation is regarded as one of the premier early-season college basketball tournaments, and the Cavaliers will be joined by Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Washington, Wichita State, and host-team Chaminade. It's official. Tristan Spurlock is finally off the hallowed grounds that is Charlottesville and is headed to the University of Central Florida. He confirmed as such on Saturday night. The 6'8 small forward will sit out this upcoming year and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Spurlock claims to have chosen UCF over Providence, Notre Dame, South Florida, and George Washington.
Back in March, we posted that former Virginia guard Sylven Landesberg would be foregoing his final two years of eligibility at UVA to play in Israel instead. It didn't quite pan out exactly the way our source had expected, but as of this morning, Eurobasket.com is reporting that Landesberg has signed a two-year contract to do just that.
