Senior forward Jamil Tucker told ACCVirginia.com contributor Scott German that he plans to come back to play for Virginia after its trip to Cancun, and just in time for the Penn St. matchup in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge on Monday, November 30.
The 6 foot 9, at-times-streaky 3-point shooter had taken a leave of absence to take care of undisclosed personal matters. Tucker has been with the team, but not dressed, on game day since that announcement was made.
Last year Tucker played in all 28 games and started in four. He averaged 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 18.5 minutes played a game. He shot a team-best 40.3 percent (31-77) from three-point range, including 41.7 percent (20-48) in ACC games. It will be refreshing for him to return this season.
