Midweek Stat Tracker: 11.25.09

StatTrackerThese Midweek Stat Trackers are starting to get a little pointless. Or if not pointless, certainly disappointing. I can't find a single gem on the entire chart to talk about this week, unfortunately. I do know that out of eighteen categories, Virginia is ranked worse than 100th in eight of them. EIGHT. Relatedly, we are dead last in the ACC in total offense, kickoff returns, passing efficiency, tackles for loss, and sacks allowed.

Unfortunately, this does not bode well for a powerful Virginia Tech team that is 13th in the country in total defense and averages 2.55 sacks a game.

I think I speak on behalf of Wahoo Nation that we are all looking forward to this week's game as we enter with nothing to lose. At 3-8, I am grateful for the season coming to a close, and am looking forward to seeing what coaching decisions are made after Saturday, and how quickly things will get moving as we look, hopefully, to enter a new era of Virginia Football. And if by the grace of God we are able to pull off the upset, I can promise AD Craig Littlepage and company that (a) I will be renewing my season tickets and (b) I will be increasing my annual contribution to the VAF. Because nothing would make me happier this Thanksgiving than to see Virginia Tech embarrassed by a flailing 3-8 team.
