ESPN announced today its 2011 ACC Men's Lacrosse season coverage. The worldwide leader in sports will be covering a record 16 ACC games, including five Virginia contests and all six of the ACC match-ups.
Virginia finished last season ranked No. 2 in both the USILA coaches poll and the Inside Lacrosse media poll. The Cavaliers ended the season with a 16-2 overall record, with a heart-breaking 14-13 loss to eventual national champions Duke in the semifinals on Memorial Day weekend. Both losses last season were at the hands of Duke.
The 2011 ESPN schedule includes only two games that will be featured on the network's main platform - the Duke-Notre Dame rematch of last year's national title game on February 20, and a conference battle between heavy hitters Virginia and North Carolina on April 9.

The 2011 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship will be held on April 22 and 24 at Duke.
