While this site has been giving a lot of attention to the top-ranked men's lacrosse team, their women counterparts aren't doing too shabby themselves. The Virginia women's lacrosse team is ranked fourth in the nation and finished their regular season with an impressive 17-8 victory over in-state rivals George Mason.
Ten Cavaliers -- every 'Hoo to play attack -- notched one in the scoring column and were led by senior All-American Kaitlin Duff, who was responsible for four points on three goals and an assist.
Virginia is now 12-3 on the season and currently stands atop the acc with a 4-1 conference record. The ACC Tournament seedings will be announced this Saturday after the Virginia Tech - Maryland matchup. If Virginia Tech wins, the 'Hoos will be top-seeded. Otherwise, Maryland will win the tiebreak and be seeded No. 1.
