The College Baseball Blog, which content is exactly as one might suspect, has chosen Robert Morey as this week's Pitcher of the Week. Alright, Co-Pitcher of the Week, a title he shares this week with Tim Boyce of Rhode Island. This comes the same week Morey was named ACC Pitcher of the Week.
The CBB, the most comprehensive college baseball blog out there, notes Virginia's 15-game winning streak and that Morey only gave up three hits total in his second straight complete game. Three hits, by the way, is the lowest Carolina's been held to all season.
Morey comes from the heralded 757, area that produces a neverending supply of great athletes and amazing UVa bloggers. But I digress. Opposing batters are only hitting .226 on him, which is the fourth-lowest in the ACC.
Tonight's rematch against VMI was canceled due to poor field conditions and, based on my sources close to the situation, Keydet fear. Virginia finishes the regular season beginning this Thursday with a series against Miami. One win there and Virginia will clinch the ACC.
