I'm still living off of last week's big win over Georgia Tech. Hopefully Coach London and the players, though, have moved on and are focusing on what could be a dangerous game for the Cavaliers, who have a long and proven history of collapsing during a "should win" game after a big upset. See, e.g., last year after Miami. We don't need to rehash that.
The Wolfpack have not won in Charlottesville since 1994, when they upset No. 13 Virginia. Coincidentally, State head coach Tom O'Brien was actually the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach for Virginia that year. After his stint at Virginia, he left to become the head coach at Boston College in 1997, hiring none other than Mike London to coach the defensive line. So you see, it's all come full circle for these two head coaches.
Per usual, Tiki has his in-depth and spot on preview of the Virginia - N.C. State matchup. Pack is coming off their bye week, which, as we saw last week, can be a powerful thing, especially since they've been, and continue to be, plagued by injuries.
