The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2011 ACC Football Schedule this afternoon. Virginia gets the dreaded task of traveling to Tallahassee to take on what should be a very good Florida State squad -- my off-season pick to win the ACC next year.
The good news is that the Cavaliers will be hosting Duke at home, and looking to break a three-game losing streak to the Blue Devils. I can't believe I really just typed that. Unclear if it's good news or bad (likely the latter), but exciting news is that this schedule includes a Thursday night matchup against Miami...unfortunately, at Miami.
The bad news, in addition to traveling to FSU, is that we don't get to play Wake Forest, the only team in the ACC to fall outside the RPI Top 100. Once again, Virginia will not be playing Boston College (we play them about once every 18 years) and Clemson.

Outside the ACC schedule, Virginia has a pretty smooth ride, including RPI 49 Southern Miss, RPI 79 Idaho and FCS squad William & Mary.
