Former Virginia men's soccer star and overall No. 1 selection in the MLS Draft Alecko Eskandarian recently announced on Twitter that he is holding a contest to give away an autographed Eskandarian jersey. Alecko is one of the more personable athletes you'll find on Twitter and has long embraced fan interaction through social media, so of course it follows that he would be holding a fun contest to celebrate reaching the 10,000 follower mark.
Having left a year early to turn pro, Alecko recently returned to the University to fulfill his promise to his mother to earn his college degree. He also helps coach the Virginia men's team.
