Virginia junior attacker Steele Stanwick was named the ACC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending on Monday, Feb. 28.

Stanwick scored eight goals and had seven assists for 17 total points on the week, helping the Cavaliers win two games, including an 11-10 overtime thriller at No. 5 Stony Brook. The junior from Baltimore, Md., had five goals and two assists at Stony Brook, including scoring the game-winner with 44 seconds left in overtime. Stanwick had his hand in seven of UVa's 11 scores in the quality road win.
In addition to his great performance over Stony Brook, Stanwick was responsible for seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) last night in Virginia's 22-6 trouncing of VMI.
