Introducing a new Streaking the Lawn writer!

It's with great pleasure on this fine hump day that I announce the newest addition to the Streaking the Lawn crew, Mr. Chad Dotson. Chad graduated from the University in 1996 and currently runs Redleg Nation, a Cincinnati Reds blog. I know what you're thinking. "But wait, don't you already have someone with an overinflated sense of self covering baseball for the site?" Don't you worry about that.

Chad will primarily be covering men's and women's tennis, being a former competitive tennis player himself. You'll also see him writing about Virginia football and, even more so, Virginia basketball, which he describes as his "passion." Chad's favorite Cavalier sports moment was the February 1995 win over North Carolina at U-Hall. He had camped out for front row seats, and the game didn't disappoint. He says it was the loudest he had ever heard U-Hall. Citing "too many to recount," Chad refused to answer what the greatest UVA sports disappointment was.

Chad places his greatest faith in the men's basketball program. He thinks Tony Bennett is one of the finest coaches in the country, and that the hoops program is in very good hands right now. He's also excited about the Hoos because of the return of Jason Williford, who had played at Virginia (Graduated in '95) and who coached at Boston University and American. Chad names Williford as his favorite Virginia athlete, past or present.

Chad will be making his inaugural post later on today. In the meantime, please join me in welcoming Chad to the Streaking the Lawn network. You can get in touch with him via email at chad.dotson@streakingthelawn.com or via Twitter at @dotsonc.
