Cavalier Men's Tennis remains atop the rankings

As Virginia looks toward the beginning of the outdoor season, the powerhouse Cavalier men's tennis program remained atop the ITA/NCAA rankings this week. Once again, Virginia has more individually ranked singles players than anyone in the country, with six.

Alex Domijan is the most highly-ranked Hoo, checking in at #2. He's followed by Michael Shabaz (10), Sanam Singh (18), Drew Courtney (30), Jarmere Jenkins (31), and Julen Uriguen (85). In addition, three Virginia doubles combos are ranked (Shabaz/Courtney (2), Domijan/Jenkins (19), and Shabaz/Domijan (24))

After a brilliant start to the season -- including a record 4th consecutive National ITA National Team Indoor championship -- the Hoos will travel to Baton Rouge to face Louisiana State next Wednesday (March 9).

Let's not forget the women, who continue to reach unprecedented heights. In the latest rankings, the women's tennis team is ranked eighth. That's the highest ranking the program has ever enjoyed.

The women travel to Williamsburg to face William & Mary this Saturday.
