The priority registration deadline for the inaugural Cavaliers Against Cancer Texas Hold'em Charity Tournament is fast approaching. Have you registered yet?
StreakingtheLawn is proud to be a sponsor for this event, organized by the UVa Club of Charlottesville and benefiting the Rebecca Clary Harris, M.D. Memorial Fellowship at the University of Virginia Cancer Center. All net proceeds of the event will go towards this Fellowship, which provides clinical and translational research fellowships to graduate students or fellows in the Human Immune Therapy Center at the University of Virginia Cancer Center
The priority registration deadline for the Tournament is tomorrow, April 30. Tickets are $75 now, but after April 30, the required donation amount will be $100, if seats are even available. There are a limited number of seats, so don't miss out on this great opportunity to help the UVa Cancer Center, play some poker, and even take a private tour of John Paul Jones Arena, the tournament site.
The Cavaliers Against Cancer Texas Hold'em Charity Tournament will take place on May 7 at 12:00 noon. There are a ton of prizes available, including foursomes at The Homestead's Cascades Course and five nights accommodations at the lovely Bluegreen Resort Villas, and any number of prize packages from Mincer's, the UVa Bookstore, local restaurants, etc. Word on the street is that a number of coaches and players may also be playing.
What are you waiting for? Ante up today! (Yes, I am fully aware that you don't ante up in Texas hold'em. But how silly would it have been for me to say, "Big blind today!"? Precisely.)
