Two new additions to the STL writing staff

A painful loss to South Carolina is not going to slow down this Virginia sports train. As summertime is finally officially upon us (our friends from Blacksburg have been in summertime mode basically since March), we here at Streaking the Lawn are taking the time to ramp everything up for the fall. Part of this includes introducing our two newest writers, Tim Mulholland and Tiki Guttman, who I'm excited to have on board.

Both of these guys come from the former UVA blog, Dear Old UVa. They've been blogging about Virginia sports -- all the Virginia sports -- since before it became cool to do so (I like to think that I made it cool), four years ago.

Tim will be the second member of our crew who lives in Charlottesville (along with Brian Schwartz). He says he owns season tickets to pretty much every sport that offers them, so he'll be able to give plenty of insight from the front lines.

I know what you're thinking. "Great, two more unabashed homers to keep the lovefest going." Yes, that is partially true. But with a strong group of seven writers now, not only will we be able to cover MORE Hoos than ever, we'll also be able to present to you a number of different viewpoints. Football and basketball will be analyzed like it's never been analyzed before. We won't miss a championship run from any of our teams, and when Virginia becomes the first school to dethrone Stanford atop the Directors' Cup standings, you'll hear it from us first.

So stick around for continued and improving coverage on the Hoos. If there's something you'd like to read about (do we need an entire post counting the number of national championships Virginia has as compared to Virginia Tech?), drop us a line or leave a note in the comments.

And most importantly, welcome aboard, Tim and Tiki!
