Virginia's Mike Scott Named One of 25 Wooden Award Finalists

Virginia senior forward Mike Scott was named one of 25 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, ESPN announced Tuesday afternoon. Scott is one of just four ACC players listed as a finalist, joining Harrison Barnes, John Henson and Kendall Marshall out of North Carolina.

So far this season, Scott is leads the conference in shooting percentage, at 58.8% from the field. He averages 16.9 points per game -- or approximately 25.9% of the Cavaliers' points -- and 8.9 rebounds per game. He also currently leads all active ACC players in career points (1,231), rebounds (822) and double-doubles (29).

The Wooden Award, founded in 1976, is presented annually to the outstanding collegiate basketball Player of the Year.
