SB Nation College Hall of Fame: A call for UVA nominees

Former UVA QB Matt Schaub seems like one of the clear nominees for Virginia. Who else might make a College Football Hall of Fame?
Former UVA QB Matt Schaub seems like one of the clear nominees for Virginia. Who else might make a College Football Hall of Fame?

Summertime is slow in the world of college sports, especially since everyone is figuring out the drama behind their school's president and board of visitors. Wait. That's just us? Alright then.

In any event, SB Nation is putting together a College Football Hall of Fame and is calling for fans to nominate their favorite players. The big catch is that you must have seen the player or coach in action (either live or on TV). So, no fair nominating Bullet Bill Dudley (or if you are nominating, I'm going to have to kindly request that you scan some form of ID to prove your age).

Here is the more detailed list of eligibility:

For players or inactive coaches: The nominee should have been out of college for four full years. So, players must have graduated 2008 or earlier.

For active coaches or coaches who haven't been inactive for four years: The nominee must be or have been at his position for at least five seasons. (Position, NOT school)

As a site, we'll be able to submit up to five nominees, but no more than one at each of the following positions: QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, DB, ST, Coach.

We've got some thoughts, but we want to hear who you want to nominate and why! Leave your nominees in the comments, together with a paragraph on why the player/coach should be in!
