Well the 2012 NBA Summer League wrapped up last week. Over the five-game schedule with the Atlanta Hawks, former Cavalier Mike Scott showed steady improvement as the Hawks finished with a 2-3 record.
The 237 lb. forward averaged 10.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in an average of 27 minutes per game.
Following the completion of the summer league, Mike Prada with SB Nation ranked the 52 rookies who participated in the NBA Summer League. Scott was ranked No. 35 overall, and was described, "You can see how he'll be useful as a pick and pop player, even if the shots didn't go down."
There's not a lot of discussion out there on whether or not Scott will ultimately sign with the Hawks. SB Nation's Peachtree Hoops takes a look at the salary cap and who's on the roster as of yesterday morning, and also asks the question of who the team will pick up for the small forward role, but has not given any real consideration of whether Scott will call himself a Hawk in a couple months.
