On Saturday, for the second straight year, Streaking The Lawn hosted a season opener kickoff tailgate, this year presented by St. Maarten Cafe, where we had the chance to meet many of you guys, and you had the chance to eat our food and drink our alcohol. We hope you all had a great time, enjoyed the free swag we gave away and raffled off, and will make a point to join us in future tailgates.
For those of you who did come, did you notice the sweet Streaking The Lawn banner we had set up? Did you notice how vibrant the colors were? Did you rub up on it and notice how heavy duty the material was?
I'm assuming everyone's answer is yes. The banner was courtesy of the folks over at Banners on the Cheap, who also run Signs on the Cheap and Magnets on the Cheap.
Jokes aside, when I was originally contacted by them to review one of their banners, I was skeptical. With a name like Banners on the Cheap, I wasn't sure how much I could count on the quality of their products - particularly if the old adage of "you get what you pay for" is true.
Boy was I surprised. The representative I worked with rushed the order to me when he saw I was on a tight timeline. That's good customer service. Equally important, for those of you who made it to last year's tailgate, you probably saw an older banner there. We ordered that from a very well-known professional printing company. For less than half the price, Banners on the Cheap produced a larger, more heavy duty banner that was printed on both sides (last year's only had one side) and had heavy grommets already installed. In short, for under 50 bucks, you can get a huge sign that will last you for years to come.
I'm extremely pleased with the banner we used this weekend and am gladly going to use this company again - it's the highest quality, least expensive place you can find out there.
