Virginia's 17-16 victory over Penn State didn't come exactly the way fans had imagined or were expecting. A 10-point favorite heading into the game, the Cavalier faithful were cautiously optimistic - 10 points seemed high, but by all counts, the Hoos had the coaching staff and talent needed to bring down the decimated Nittany Lions.
There was, however, at least one major highlight worthy of a YouTube video all of its own, and that's UVa tight end Jake McGee's one-handed catch amidst a pass interference. That's McGee's second one-handed miraculous catch in as many weeks, as Virginia tries to establish itself as Tight End U once again.
"I was fired up and trying to get some more points on the board. Rocco scrambled out of the pocket, he put it up, and I somehow came down with it. I don't know how I came down with it, but it stuck."
McGee would later make the game winning touchdown catch.
A full highlights reel -- and a lowlight -- follows the jump.
First, let's get the lowlight out of the way, as Penn State fakes the punt to pick up a 19-yard run for a first down.
It was one of three successful fourth-down conversions by Penn State, who had four attempts on the day. No respect, I tell ya.
Finally, the ACC Digital Network put together an entire highlights reel of the game:
The real highlights video should just be a full highlights reel of Sam Ficken's missed field goals.
