Junior Rob Vozenilek, a Richmond native, walked on to the University of Virginia Men's Basketball team his first year. Rob played in seven games, hitting one free throw (out of two), and coming up with one steal. After the 2011-2012 season, Rob left the Wahoos for the entirety of last season.
This year, Voz is back, and a vital member of the Cavalier practice squad. His contributions and skill set make him a valuable opponent for the likes of Malcom Brogdon, and Voz saw playing time in Virginia's recent media day at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.
A lanky forward, the athletic Vozenilek was an 11 letter winner in varsity sports when he attended St. Christopher's School, including three in basketball, football (as a quarterback), and lacrosse, with the last two coming in swimming.
Not too shabby. Maybe Coach London can take a look at his arm and get a second Vozenilek on the field in Scott Stadium...
