The second year class at Virginia is extremely large. And talented. Mike Tobey, Evan Nolte, Justin Anderson, Anthony Gill (red shirt) and Malcolm Brogdon (red shirt) get a lot of the preseason attention. Then there's Teven Jones. The shortest of the bunch, Teven is a ball of energy and determination that is an absolute pleasure to watch on the court.
Don't get me wrong, he can also be absolutely terrifying to watch out there at times, but he stepped up for Coach Bennett and the Cavaliers numerous times throughout the season when he was greatly needed. Teven played in a remarkable 30 games for the 'Hoos last season, starting in nine of them. He averaged just 2.9 points and 1.1 assists per game, but this enthusiasm was my favorite part of Teven's game (and that kid in the gray's enthusiam...that's also good).
This season I anticipate Teven getting some good minutes off of the bench in the point guard position, but will see some competition from incoming first years London Perrantes and Devon Hall. It will be interesting how Coach Bennett balances all the pieces of the puzzle, but too much talent is a total #firstworldproblem.
