UVa vs. Ball St. Football: Game Time, TV Schedule, Previews and More

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Virginia Cavaliers take on Ball State after a disappointing ACC opening loss to Pitt last week. The story from last week's game was a completely ineffective offense failing to support a defense that was playing out of its mind.

This week, though, head coach Mike London made a few changes on the Virginia depth chart, introducing freshman Eric Smith at right tackle and moving Jay Whitmire to right guard. The wide receiver position was also opened to competition this past week.

The changes on the offensive side of the ball may be just what Virginia needed to inspire a few touchdowns and to try to win the games the Hoos are predicted to win, athough Vegas appears to differ. The line opened at Virginia -5, but since then, it has moved to Virginia -4.5 and as low as Virginia -4. Ruh roh.
