2013 Virginia College Basketball: Hoos take on Tennessee volunteers

US PRESSWIRE

What: Virginia Cavaliers (9-3) vs. Tennessee Volunteers (7-4)

Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Place: Thompson-Boling Arena
TV: ESPN 2
Radio: Virginia Sports Radio Network

Last Meeting: UVA 46-38 (December 5, 2012)

Odds: Vegas: Tennessee -2.5; KenPom: UVA 58, Tennessee 59 (44%)

Last time these two teams met, it was quite the barn burner in Charlottesville, as the #Questfor40 was in full effect. Virginia can only hope to get into that kind of battle again with Tennessee, a team that averages 73.8 points per game. Virginia, though, is only giving up 54.2 points a game, good for fourth in the country.

UVA is coming off of two straight wins against Northern Iowa and Norfolk State. Tennessee is the first SEC squad the Hoos will have played this year, while the Vols have beaten Wake Forest and have fallen to NC State earlier this season.

This is the last tune-up game before ACC play, and it's one that the Hoos will need to take seriously if they want to make a statement in the coming months. Look for Bennett to play with his lineup early once again, but hopefully settle on a cohesive unit before the second half.

Leave your pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts here and as always, Go HOOS!
