Eric Tetlow

Position: Offensive Tackle

Hometown (School): Richmond, VA (Mills Godwin)

Height/Weight: 6'6'' 290 lbs

Committed to Virginia: 2/6/13

Lead Recruiter: Vincent Brown

Virginia fans received a surprise in the early morning hours on Signing Day, when Wake Forest offensive line commit Eric Tetlow decommitted from the Deacs and signed with Virginia. Tetlow, a local product, played his high school football at Mills-Godwin in Richmond. The former Wake Forest commit is rated a 3-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports. Tetlow originally committed to the Demon Deacons back in September, over offers from Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Maryland and others.

Tetlow played left tackle at Mills-Godwin, and projects as a tackle in college as well. Big and strong, Tetlow shows great technique, especially in run blocking. Eric also got some solid experience against better defensive linemen when he played in the Chesapeake bowl in December. The flip of Tetlow to Virginia shows how they feel about adding depth to that position in this class. Tom O'Brien reportedly wanted to add a few more big bodies up front for the 2013 class, and Tetlow's late commit is another solid pickup for the Hoos.
