College Basketball: Virginia Cavaliers take on Florida State Seminoles - Game Thread

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

What: Virginia Cavaliers (20-9, 9-6 ACC) vs. Florida St. Seminoles (15-14, 7-9 ACC)

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Date: March 7, 2013
Place: Donald L. Tucker Center
TV: ESPN2, ESPN3
Radio: Virginia Sports Radio Network

Spread: Virginia -3.5; Pomeroy: Virginia 65-57 (78%)
Last Meeting: Virginia 56-36 (Jan. 19 at JPJ)

The Vegas and Pomeroy odds are pretty much identical to what they were for the Boston College game, which gives me no confidence whatsoever. This Virginia squad needs to show it can win on the road, and having arrived in Tallahassee on Tuesday, the Hoos should be well-rested and acclimated for tonight's big game.

Every game counts now, as UVA's opportunities to polish off its Tournament resume is coming to a close, and there's still a little left to be done.

Virginia has not won in the state of Florida since 2001, a streak that's primed to be broken tonight.

If he can get six assists, Jontel Evans will tie Cory Alexander as 8th in UVA's career assists, with 401. Joe Harris' three-point percentage has taken a bit of a hit over the past couple games, but he still stands tied for first in Virginia's annals, at .421.

Leave your thoughts here and GO HOOS!

Yep, we still have sweet t-shirts!
