2013 Virginia Football Roster Profile: Cameron Fitch

In part 2 of today's double-header, we look at walk-on DE Cameron Fitch. Fitch likely could've played at an FCS school, but chose to attend UVA as a recruited walk-on. He's been named Scout Team Player of the Week twice in 3 years.

High School: Grassfield HS

Despite playing just 1 year of HS football, Fitch was recruited by several FCS schools in the area, including William and Mary and Georgetown. He was also recruited to walk-on at both Virginia and Obviously, Fitch chose the Hoos.

Like many walk-ons, Fitch may never see the field. In two seasons, he has yet to dress for a game. He is listed on the depth chart as the 4th strong-side DE. He has been selected twice as the scout team player of the week, proving his value to the team even without stepping on the field.
