The 2014-2015 Virginia Cavaliers Basketball Season Has Arrived

Following a successful 2013-2014 campaign that resulted in dual ACC Championships and a Sweet Sixteen for the Virginia men's basketball team, Hoos fans have had to spend the past eight months learning how life goes on without Joe Harris. (Oh what, you thought we'd have a post talking about the upcoming basketball season and NOT mention Joe Harris in the first sentence?)

But somehow we will endure. And that's because the Cavaliers are going to be a great team once again this season with a legitimate chance of repeating as ACC champions. In lieu of past years' 24-hour Midnight Madness here on Streaking The Lawn, we thought we'd extend our coverage, and therefore your entertainment, for an entire week.

It's Officially HOOps Week!

Over the next five days, we're thrilled to provide you with in-depth analysis of the Hoos, including recaps of last year for both the men and the women, an overview of each UVA team's roster, individual player profiles for all of the men, as well as team previews for each of the other ACC men's squads. For some of the newer fans (or for those looking for a refresher course), we'll be providing you with educational pieces on Tony Bennett's defense. We'll also have some fun opportunities along the way, including a charity drive.

You Can Win Things!

All week long, we welcome your comment and feedback on all of our thoughts and insights and predictions. Whether it's a relevant gif or a counterpoint or just some witty banter, lay it on us thick. In fact, for every comment you make on the site, we'll give you an entry to win a pair of tickets to the Virginia-Harvard game on Sunday, December 21. All you need to do is comment, comment, comment on HOOps Week articles! All entrants are subject to the official HOOps Week Contest Rules .

It All Tips Off In An Hour!

Keep it posted here all week long, we'll be pushing out things at the top of each hour throughout your workday.

Happy HOOps Week!
