Oh, Evan.
The vivacious forward returns for his third year for the Wahoos, and he will be a key piece of the puzzle this year. His sophomore stint didn't sizzle as much as some thought it would, but he had clutch performances at times and gave some quality minutes off the bench.
With the departure of Joe Harris (stop me if you've heard this before...), Nolte will need to step up, especially in the land of three pointers. Nolte can shoot the ball well, and judging by some late season drives, take the rock to the hole when needed.
Evan played in 32 of 37 games, averaging just over nine minutes per contest and just under three points per game. He has had some issues with fouling in the past, but looked as though his defense had improved later in the season. Nolte will have to shake the second year slump and start anew this season, because offensive production needs him.
Nolte, along with teammate London Perrantes, will miss the season opener tomorrow against JMU due to a 'violation of team rules'. For Nolte, this meant a charge of 'Drunk In Public While Wearing the Most Hideous Shirt Ever'. On a serious note, Evan made a boneheaded mistake and is being held accountable.
The shirt was REALLY ugly, though. I am now convinced he is related to Nick Nolte.
The only real positives to come from this (other than the life lesson...I can't imagine that conversation with Tony Bennett went well. Can you imagine a lecture from disappointed Tony Bennett?), are the great Google search results that come up in auto complete when you type in 'Evan Nolte'. Here they are from five to one!

Nolte is a good kid, despite his youthful transgressions this summer. He donates his time to Pancakes for Parkinsons and is the ultimate team player. His social media game is strong, so if you aren't already, give him a follow on the usual.
