One of two senior walk-ons, Maleek Frazier is participating in his second year on the Virginia Cavalier's roster. However, he has been with the team for his whole college career, as Frazier was a team manager during his first two years of college.
Maleek is looking for his first points as a Hoo. In 12 games last season (man, the walk-ons played a ton!), he went 0-4 from the field in 23 minutes of play, notching 2 rebounds and 2 assists. The guard is one of 4 UVA walk-ons, all returnees from last season.
Per VirginiaSports.com, Maleek was actually born in Japan, before moving to Charlottesville where he attended Covenant High School; he then matriculated right down the road at UVA. Also per VirginiaSports.com, Maleek enjoys solving Rubik's cubes. We'll work for further confirmation on this point.
