The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Allstate Insurance Company today announced the 2014 Allstate NABC Good Works Team today, and among the award recipients was Virginia's own Joe Harris. In its second year, the Good Works Team recognizes college basketball players who have made a commitment to improving their communities and the lives of others.

Joining Harris on the Division I team are Utah State forward Danny Berger, Ohio State guard Aaron Craft, Penn guard Dau Jok and Michigan forward Jordan Morgan.

"The 10 young men selected to the 2014 NABC Good Works Team® amplify the significant contributions of all of the men's basketball student-athletes across America," said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney in a statement. "We are proud to partner with Allstate to celebrate them as outstanding role models and for the positive impact they have made in their communities, the nation and the world."

The list was narrowed from a total of 117 NABC nominees submitted by school SIDs across the country. The final team rosters were chosen by panels of former coaches, student-athletes, and media members, including Grant Hill, Seth Greenberg, and Seth Davis, to name a few.

Harris had a big night last night in taking down Maryland in the Terps' last ACC visit to Charlottesville, leading the team with 19 points after a slot first half. He shot 57% from beyond the arc.
