Please don't let this be a let down game. Please don't let this be a let down game.
I mean, I'm not completely irrational when I say that, right? After all, Virginia lost to Boston College on the road last year right after taking down No. 3 Duke.
But this is a different team. Please tell me this is a different team.
BC still has sophomore guard Joe Rahon, who had the thrill of scoring the game-winning three with just over 8 seconds to go in that last matchup. Rahon is shooting a not-too-shabby 42.2% on the season, and accounts for 9.7 points, 3.2 assists per game. Boston College's leading scorer is sophomore Olivier Hanlan, who averages 17.9 points per game, shooting 43.1%. What's important, though, is that Olivier Hanlan is a Canadian. I mean, Olivier. Just hearing his name makes me mad.
BC's adjusted offensive efficiency is 112.6, good for 39th in the country. Their defense, however, is atrocious, ranking near or lower than 300th in most of the kenpom categories (adjusted efficiency, turnover percentage, rebounding percentage, and defending against the three).
Leave your pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts here and as always, Go HOOS!
