It's not fair that this team is playing better than any Virginia basketball team I've ever seen, and yet each game, I live in fear that the Hoos are going to lay an egg in games it should win. I find myself in this position again.

Part of it is because we've seen Virginia struggle on multiple occasions now closing out a game, in large part due to inconsistent (read: poor) free throw shooting. Part of it is because this is a road game, which presents a challenge in any conference game.

The Yellow Jackets, ranked 114 by KenPom, are a stronger defensive team than they are offensive, but neither set of numbers will leave you floored. On the offensive side, they are led in scoring by senior guard Trae Golden, who averages 14.0 points per game and leads the team with 3.3 assists per game. He's supported by sophomore guard/forward Marcus Georges-Hunt with 12.4 points per game. Georges-Hunt has shot 32.3% from beyond the arc in ACC games. Their center Daniel MIller averages 8.0 rebounds per game.

Adjusted for tempo, Georgia Tech offense ranks 207th (102.5 efficiency), while their defense is 62nd (98.3). The Yellow Jackets don't tend to create a lot of turnovers, at only 16.0% of defensive possessions.

Leave your pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts here and as always, Go HOOS!
