Virginia's Chances in 2014 NCAA Baseball Championship

The No. 3 national seed Virginia Cavaliers are gearing up for the Charlottesville Regional this upcoming weekend, as the Hoos play host to Bucknell, Liberty, and 20th-ranked Arkansas. The ACC Digital Network's Sean McNally and Jeff Fischel discuss Virginia's chances -- this video was shot before the announcement of the national seeds.

TheACCDN is favorably impressed by Virginia's deep pitching staff and, actually, Virginia's offense.

This will be Virginia's fifth straight year hosting a regional -- only South Carolina shares the same distinction. Of course, the selection committee has a slight sense of humor, pitting UVa and USC-East against each other in a potential Super Regional matchup.

Sixty percent of national seeds typically reach the College World Series. Virginia will first face Bucknell on Friday at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN 3.
