The Hoos and Rebels kick off their sprints to the National Championship tonight in their first round games in Omaha. The Hoos have the all time head to head record winning four of the six times the teams have played, including three of the last four. The last two times the teams have squared off has been in pressure packed situations. Ole Miss came to Charlottesville in 2010 for the NCAA tournament while the Hoos traveled to Oxford in 2009.
I'd expect the Rebels to have a very strong contingency in Omaha tonight and it could feel somewhat like a home game for them. The Rebel fans haven't experienced Omaha in quite a long time.
The winner will go on to play TCU on Tuesday at 8 PM, and the loser will play Texas Tech an elimination game at 3 PM.
Alright, Hoo fans. Let's start the College World Series off right! Leave your pre-, in-, and post-game thoughts here and as always, GO HOOS!
