You many not be able to pronounce his name, but Philadelphia running back, Olamide Zaccheaus is coming to a field near you. The three-star tailback committed to Mike London and Virginia on Wednesday night, becoming the 13th member of the class of 2015.
The 5-8, 185 pound 'back selected the Wahoos over offers from Miami, Pittsburgh, Temple, and Cincinnati among others.
UVa joined the race late, but a game-chaning visit to Charlottesville earlier this month appeared to turn the tide in favor of the Orange and Blue.
Virginia loses Kevin Parks and Khalek Shepherd after this season, but the Cavaliers are building some nice depth at the running back position. In addition to having a few more years of Smoke Mizzell, UVa signed rugged tailback Jordan Eliis last February. Zaccheaus is an explosive 'back who is dangerous when he has the ball in space. The 2015 standout's speed will be a great compliment to Ellis' strength, and is likely to be a factor in the return-game.
With Zaccheaus in the fold, it will be interesting to follow UVa's pursuit of Chris Sharp. The New Jersey native is a OLB on several teams' boards, but the Wahoos like the 6-2, 195 pounder in the backfield. Sharp is a different kind of runner than Zaccheaus, and the two together could be a nice haul at tailback for 2015.
