The talking heads (the blogging heads?) here at Streaking The Lawn have put our heads together to rank the ACC teams top to bottom after having seen some of training camp already.

As a reminder, here's what the ACC media thought, back in late July. As always, first place votes are in parenthesis:

Atlantic Division Coastal Division
1. Florida State (109) - 780 1. Miami (26) - 614
2. Clemson (3) - 660 2. Duke (33) - 597
3. Louisville - 564 3. Virginia Tech (23) - 571
4. Syracuse - 368 4. North Carolina (27) - 570
5. NC State - 326 5. Georgia Tech (1) - 322
6. Boston College - 301 6. Pitt (2) -319
7. Wake Forest - 136 7. VIRGINIA -142

Now here's what your STL team thought:

Atlantic Division Coastal Division
1. Florida State (7) - 7 1. North Carolina (3) - 14
2. Clemson - 15 2. Miami (2) - 16
3. Louisville - 20 3. Duke (2) - 18
4. Syracuse - 33 4. Virginia Tech - 26
5. NC State - 36 5. Georgia Tech - 37
6. Boston College - 39 6. Pitt - 42
7. Wake Forest - 46 7. VIRGINIA - 43

The Atlantic side of things remained identical to what the ACC media as a whole thought, but there's some shake-up in the Coastal. Notably, STL is placing some heavy stock in UNC. Our beloved Hoos still finished last in our internal poll, though by a much narrower margin. (Note that unlike the ACC's poll, our voting system was such that first place got one point, second place got two points, etc.)

In terms of preseason player of the year honors, STL staff unanimously selected Florida State's Jameis Winston, who was also named as such by the ACC media. For preseason rookie of the year, Virginia's Quin Blanding earned the honors from STL with three votes. He was followed by Virginia's Andrew Brown (2), Miami's Kevin Olsen (1) and NC State's Jacoby Brissett (1).

Here's the breakdown of our voting by staff:
