The Cavaliers reel in number 21 for the class of 2015

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Virginia head coach Mike London received some good news on Wednesday night, as Winter Garden (Florida) defensive end Brandon Wilson committed to the Cavaliers.

The 6-3, 238 pound Wilson selected the Wahoos over offers from North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and Kentucky among others.

Wilson's sudden commitment caught many in the recruiting world off guard. The three-star defensive end recently took a visit to UK, and with the decommitment of four-star Darius Fullwood, many believed that the Wildcats would be the destination. Wilson had been thinking about taking an official to Charlottesville at some point this fall, but did not announce which game he was planning on attending. UVa extended an offer back in early August, and Wilson jumped on board a little more than month later.

Defensive end is a big position of need, as Eli Harold, Mike Moore, Kwontie Moore, and Trent Corney each have just one year left in the program. The Wahoos reeled in a trio of promising defensive ends last fall, who will be redshirt freshmen next fall. Wilson joins Rasool Clemons and Gladimir Paul for the defensive end class of 2015. Clemons and Paul are a bit undersized for the position, and Wilson is big enough to even slide inside in certain packages.

Wilson is another great edition to the class of 2015. Let's take a closer look at who he will be joining in Charlottesville.
