Following last week's loss against Miami, Virginia is now 3-6 on the season. Things may look dim for the Cavaliers, but it's okay because basketball season is back this week! Virginia fans, you can officially rejoice! That being said, don't forget that the 'Hoos roll into Louisville this Saturday to square off against the Cardinals.
On paper, the Cardinals are the better team at 5-4 and 4-2 in the ACC. They have a stout defense but also have been plagued by turnovers and penalties all year. The real knock, however, is they play in the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. I hope at least everyone in the crowd gets free pizza and garlic sauce.
Virginia is still bowl eligible, but any loss from here on out will make them ineligible. A loss here would almost certainly seal Mike London's fate at UVa, even if a formal firing announcement does not come until the end of the season.
Can the Cavaliers pull out a road win (please, yes)? Will Louisville don its god-awful uniforms with gothic font (please, no)? Let's break it down in THE COLUMN.
