The Virginia Cavaliers look to extend their current one-game winning streak in the Charleston Classic semifinals, where the Hoos will meet the 49ers of Long Beach State.

Here's our preview of the 49ers' squad, who are off to a nice 3-0 start that includes wins over two KenPom top-100 teams, BYU and Seton Hall, by 2 and 3 points, respectively. While KenPom rates Long Beach as #213 in the nation, that probably doesn't give the team enough credit; Maryland transfer Nick Faust is now eligible, and the system doesn't take transfers into account. But Vegas does have the Hoos as 15.5 point favorites as of now.

With a win, UVA takes on George Mason, who beat Oklahoma State in OT earlier today, in the Charleston Classic championship game. With a loss, the Hoos...well, nobody wants to think about that. In any case, the tournament hasn't been favorable to Virginia's strength of schedule, as top-100 Seton Hall and top-50 Oklahoma State didn't hold up their end of the bargain - both dropped games to mid-majors and fell out of the winners' bracket.
