Virginia, fresh off a win against Georgia Tech, will travel down this week to the sun-soaked, palm tree-lined land of Miami. The 3-5 Cavaliers looked like a respectable team last week and distributed their run game effectively to handle Georgia Tech. Miami, too, won last week. In case you missed it, it was another inter-ACC thriller that you simply have to watch. Just like Georgia Tech last week, Miami will look to avoid a letdown after such an emotional high.
Despite being 5-3, Miami is in the midst of rebuilding their program after firing Head Coach Al Golden (former Virginia DC) following their 58-0 loss against Clemson two weeks ago. The Hurricanes are a gritty team, and Virginia will have to be prepared if they want to beat them. The 'Hoos will hope to build off their overall balanced performance against Georgia Tech and creep closer to .500.
Can they pull it off? Let's break it down in THE COLUMN.
