The Wahoos have their man! Bronco Mendenhall is set to become the next head coach of Virginia Cavaliers football - but just who is Bronco Mendenhall?

Full Name: Marc Bronco Clay Mendenhall

Age: 49

Head Coaching History: 99-42 record at Brigham Young University - head coach since 2005

Played at: Oregon State (1986-87) Snow College (1984-85)

Bronco played defensive back in college and has extensive coaching experience as a DB coach and Defensive Coordinator. Before taking of the BYU Head Coaching gig in 2005, Bronco was DC at BYU, New Mexico, and Oregon State among other coaching positions.

Results as HC: Here are his final season records: 6-6, 11-2, 11-2, 10-3, 11-2, 7-6, 10-3, 8-5, 8-5, 8-5, 9-3.

He has guided BYU to TEN STRAIGHT BOWL GAMES. Before BYU left the Mountain West Conference, Mendenhall's Cougars compiled a 39-9 conference record and won two conference titles in six seasons. From 2011-present, BYU has been an independent (not in a conference) program.
