Reports are beginning to surface that former Virginia Cavalier head coach, Mike London, will join Maryland's football staff. These reports come on the heels of the Terrapins hiring former Michigan defensive coordinator DJ Durkin and London resigning from his position at Virginia.
While it is not certain what position London will have on Maryland's staff, it is being speculated that he will be an Associate Head Coach and defensive line coach. Undoubtedly, London's biggest efforts will be recruiting for the Terrapins.
London often saw success on the recruiting trail for the Cavaliers. Notably, London was successful in the 757 and Tidewater areas, where UVa and Virginia Tech have tried to ensure most of the talent comes their way.
London isn't the only former head coach to join the Terrapins in the last few days. Former Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer joined Durkin's staff recently to serve as the Terrapins defensive coordinator.
While the move is not official, Durkin alluded to and all but confirmed the moves this morning during his interview with the Sports Junkies.
New #Terps coach @CoachDurkin on Junkies now.. Says they'll hopefully have official announcement on London & Shafer later today.. #TerpsTalk

UVa fans will note that nothing has been announced on Coach Mendenhall's new staff. Look for that news to come quickly after he returns to the East Coast after he coaches BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 19th.
