You've laughed with us. You've cried with us. You've trolled us. You've trolled yourselves. Now, don't you think it's time you just joined us?
Streaking The Lawn has grown to be one of the premier sites covering Virginia Athletics. Unlike other media outlets, we believe that the AP-style of reporting is not the only way to convey information and analysis to you, the sophisticated Virginia fan. And we think we're doing a darn good job of entertaining you guys while we do it.
But as we grow bigger and better and prepare for our coup to take over the interwebs, we'd like some more humanpower to keep the gears cranking. If you are passionate about Virginia sports and are interested in having your work shown off to several hundred thousand views monthly, then we're interested in talking to you.
These are unpaid positions, unless you count beer and laughter as acceptable forms of payment.
We're always considering new contributors and encourage you to reach out to us no matter the position, but we're looking for the following:
Football Analyst
You record Virginia's football games so you can go back and watch them over and over. You break down the plays to see who missed their coverage. You go into each game knowing who matches up best with whom. You're the ultimate X's and O's person, and we want you. A successful candidate will be:
- A regular follower of Virginia football
- Able to publish detailed analysis within 48 hours of the game
- Able to provide substantive previews of Virginia games, including the ability to analyze Virginia's opponents, game plans, schemes, formations, etc.
- A UVA sports fan, generally
- A self-starter and independent
- Technologically savvy, including Facebook and Twitter, and a basic understanding of SB Nation sites
- Generally accessible via email and with a smart phone
- A team player, able to pitch in when needed, including, at times, for unscheduled assistance
As a bonus to the above, if you share an interest in Virginia's other non-revenue sports, that's a big plus as well. All contributors will be expected to pitch in where needed on a regular (weekly) basis, including providing coverage of football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer and other non-revenue sports. Apply here.
Graphics Designer
Are you a wizard when it comes to Photoshop, Illustrator, and other fancy graphics-creating programs? We've always been jealous of folks who can create things like this to compile rankings, or this cool infographic, or this also cool infographic? Or, the big daddy of them all, any of GBH's THE TAILGATE. A successful candidate will be:
- Proficient at Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and/or other sophisticated graphics software
- A creative genius
- A UVA sports fan, generally
- A self-starter and independent
- Technologically savvy, including Facebook and Twitter, and a basic understanding of SB Nation sites
- Generally accessible via email and with a smart phone
- A team player, able to pitch in when needed, including, at times, for unscheduled assistance
- Literate. Seriously, you'll have to write some words, so literacy is kind of important.
As a bonus to the above, if you share an interest in Virginia's non-revenue sports, that's a big plus as well. All contributors will be expected to pitch in where needed on a regular (weekly) basis, including providing coverage of football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and other non-revenue sports. Apply here.

Between this year's men's national championship and Morgan Brian leading the Hoos to back-to-back program best finishes, including back-to-back Hermann Trophies, there's a lot to celebrate here. A successful candidate will be:
- A regular follower of Virginia men's and women's soccer
- Able to publish a post-game article within one hour following each game
- Able to provide substantive previews of Virginia matches, including the ability to analyze Virginia's opponents, match ups, box scores, etc.

All contributors will be expected to pitch in where needed on a regular (weekly) basis, including providing coverage of football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and other non-revenue sports. Apply here.
